All right, welcome to the first official episode of our Big Fat Mouse.
Speaker 2:Yay.
Speaker 1:I was so excited about this. Just so everybody knows, Chris and I really have enjoyed reading Am I the Assholes? And we found some that didn't really follow our niche and we were like we just want to do this. So this is just a like reading Reddit stories, reading online stories, doing all this and just talking about that and giving our opinions, aka our big fat mouths, For sure.
Speaker 2:Fuck, I love that title so much. In our niche, though, you can only find so many stories that really don't end up getting into. I'm making fun of fat people at this point, you know. And it's just no, thank you. Let's just read stories where we don't have to think about any of it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, totally agree. So now you guys will be hearing some opinions, as well as our day to day life stories on our usual fat girl therapy. So, and that is now the layout of the waiting room for 2025. I hope you guys enjoy it so.
Speaker 2:So this is a really long Reddit story and I'm so excited I heard someone talking about it and then there was no update and I was like there has to be an update and I found them and they are the three longest stories ever and we're gonna get into it right now. All right, I love it. It is titled my husband accused me of murder out of the Blue. How Do I Salvage this?
Speaker 1:Holy shit.
Speaker 2:That's abrupt. It was originally from RoRA underscore, not a killer, so the original one was posted July summer of last year. I really didn't do it.
Speaker 1:But that makes it look like you did a little bit okay, this is long and ridiculous, sorry.
Speaker 2:My 30 female oh, my 30 female husband, luke 33 male, had a sister, laura, 29 female. We were all close and saw each other two to three times a month, along with their parents. Almost six months ago, laura fell down some stairs at her family home and died. It was a freak accident. There was a window on the half landing and she hit her head on the cell. I was the last person to see her. I was there for less than 10 minutes and she was in her pajamas making coffee. I didn't even stay for a drink and I struggle with how such a brief and meaningless interaction could have been her last. She deserves so much more.
Speaker 2:This was their sister sorry, this is her sister-in-law. Her sister-in-law died Her husband's sister.
Speaker 1:Yeah, her husband's sister died.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay, got it my husband and I have only been married for a year, but we've been together for four and have known each other's and have known each other for 20 plus years. When Laura's parents found her, they called my husband straight away and we rushed over. We faced the whole thing as a family in the days after Luke started quizzing me exactly what we talked about, what she was wearing, where we were standing, etc. It progressed to saying I was providing conflicting information on tiny details, that he was deliberately misunderstanding and accusing me of withholding information because I couldn't tell him things like what pajamas she was wearing. This escalated quickly but lasted for less than a week, as I lost my cool and made it clear that I was done answering questions. He didn't bring it up again and I wrote it off as a grief quirk. His behavior was generally that of a normal grieving person.
Speaker 2:Last friday he outright accused me of murdering her in front of his parents, out of the blue. We were all stunned. Oh so his parents didn't know he was going to do that? Oh no, there was an inquest which recently concluded and there was never any doubt the verdict would be an accidental death. Oh sorry, there was never any doubt. The verdict would be accidental death. He said it was completely obvious and he couldn't believe me that no one else could see it.
Speaker 2:He claims I went through his phone and found messages with Laura I have absolutely no idea what messages he's talking about. I have never looked at his phone and that I went over to confront her about things and they got out of hand and I pushed her downstairs. By the end he was shouting about going to the police and getting an inquest overturned and how I wasn't going to get away with it. Let me be clear Laura and I had a great relationship we all did. I have no idea where this is coming from, other than these messages I haven't seen, and even then I don't think there's anything I could ever see on someone's phone that would drive me to murder. It's just ridiculous. Like doesn't make you wonder what he was sending his sister, though. Yeah, well, I'm wondering so there was a.
Speaker 1:I'm trying to wrap my head, wonder what he was sending his sister though. Yeah, well, I'm wondering. So there was a. I'm trying to wrap my head around what he's saying.
Speaker 2:He had a conversation with his sister previously, that that happened no, like they, like him and his sister had been texting and he thinks that his wife somehow saw a text message that she didn't like and went over to confront her about it but she has no idea what text message he's even talking about?
Speaker 1:oh, she's like what's in this message okay, and if she had a good relationship with his sister. It's like, did she actually like, did her sister say something or is he trying to hide something? No, because you know what he went.
Speaker 2:Oh no, she went over to his house, her house the wife went over to the sister's house and later that day she died. So, like yes, she thinks that that conversation was the last one she ever had. So it's right, I'm going back to okay, I'm going back to.
Speaker 1:What do we think the text messages were? Do we think the sister said something and he's like you saw this and wanted to kill her? Or do you think he saw something and he thinks things got out of hand with the sister, because it's like, bro, what are you trying to cover up?
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, Okay, okay, he's been. I'm glad we clarified that.
Speaker 2:He's been with his parents since this happened and will not talk to me at all. I've had some contact with his parents since this happened and will not talk to me at all. I've had some contact with his mom, but she's not being very communicative. I last heard she didn't know what the messages he was referring to either. I'm still completely stunned. I have no idea how to proceed.
Speaker 2:I made a commitment to be there for him always and I understand that grief can manifest in strange ways, but part of me feels like my love for him died the second. He called me a murderer and I don't know how we could possibly work through this. Yeah, I also really don't want to nope, I also really don't want to be thought of in this way and I have no idea if he has said anything to people we know. I obviously haven't. A brain tumor or psychotic break has crossed my mind and I suggested it to his mother and she said she'll talk with him. Other than the questions before, he hasn't been acting odd. Obviously he's been grieving, but he seemed sane and sensible. Other than this, I feel I'm going mad. Does anyone have any advice at all?
Speaker 1:that's the first story before an update wow, so like what were what was some of the advice that people were giving in the comments? Do you have that?
Speaker 2:yeah, um fuck. No, you don't salvage. Salvage this, you get a lawyer and get the fuck out. Um yeah, and you need to get a lawyer to protect yourself in case he goes to the police. I would write down everything, um she needs an alibi.
Speaker 2:She actually did say I was interviewed by the coroner's death after her death. Um, as I was the last person to see her. She died about three hours after I saw her and I'd been in the supermarket and was home by that point. It's all verified and was a and was a recorded interview. I haven't spoken to and spoken to anyone but his mother and that's only been over messages. She's never been a big texter, but she seemed very cagey over the last few days. I don't know if this means she's seen the messages. Um, I've asked and been ignored. Um, people are really just saying this is not salvageable.
Speaker 2:Get away from these people.
Speaker 1:I swear to god, if this turns and she actually did kill her, could you, could you imagine? All right, and she posted on reddit to like make it seem like she didn't actually do anything. She's like guys. My husband thinks I did this. I didn't do it. Sorry, that was super disrespectful.
Speaker 2:I apologize so the next title is can I force my husband to get a mental health assessment and do I risk being arrested? Slash prosecuted. We're in England, oh sorry. So now we know where it is yeah. I'm in a bizarre and complex situation with my husband.
Speaker 1:I have Is it posted by the same person?
Speaker 2:Yeah, oh, okay, I have broken the law, but you know like it was deleted.
Speaker 1:Wait what.
Speaker 2:She broke the law. So these have actually. A different person posted these and actually posted the links for all the updates because, like they were all over the place Right, I have broken the law and I feel I have no choice but to do so again for my safety. I don't know what type of solicitor I need or what the next step should look like. We're in England and I'll try not to editorialize too much, so she does talk a little bit about what happened, but this is just, like you know, the ongoing story.
Speaker 2:So my husband, sister, died suddenly at the start of the year. Her death was an accident. There was no suggestion to the contrary. An inquest was recently concluded and a verdict of accidental death was returned. I was the last person to see her, but her time of death, which was almost immediate due to her injury, was confirmed to be hours after I had left the house. All of this was verified at the time. In the immediate aftermath, my husband behaved strangely and kept trying to trip up my story of the last time we saw each other, which was a brief interaction Last week, months after. Okay, so she put some things in front of her Last week, months after. This was first and last mentioned. He outright accused me of murder in front of his parents. He said that his messages.
Speaker 1:I'm just going to kind of yeah yeah, yeah, I haven't seen or heard from him. This is like that episode recap when you're like binge watching a show and they're just like last time on. It's like I've been watching for three hours. I obviously know what happened last time, I know.
Speaker 2:They're coming out with another buffy.
Speaker 1:That reminded me they're redoing buffy with sorry, because it would only be last time on buffy.
Speaker 2:Um, I went to one I'm sure there's been shows since buffy. Um, today is day nine. She said, okay, I posted on advice. I posted for advice on reddit. I'm pretty desperate at this point and it has spooked me quite reasonably, I think but also led me to committing a crime and planning another. Oh my god girl, what are you doing? My husband's icloud credentials were saved on my old ipad in his office and I downloaded his backup last night. I have read all of his messages with his sister and there is absolutely nothing. He there's absolutely nothing like he describes.
Speaker 1:I understand this is illegal and I'm such an innocent illegal move right, I'm sitting here thinking like oh damn, she did it still and he opened his cloud off to the. She wasn't on her side.
Speaker 2:This is illegal and I'm concerned about the possible ramifications. I'm like dude, he's accusing you of murder. Do it. I am also waiting. These are two so different, I feel so bad I opened up the cloud.
Speaker 1:He's like murderer.
Speaker 2:I must prove my innocence, but this is illegal. Sorry, that's not an English accent. Okay, I am also waiting for a callback from a locksmith to change the locks on the home that we own together, which I believe is also against the law. So this woman's going to iCloud, she's changing locks. She's getting crazy up in here. What a murder. So this leads to my actual questions how do I hide a body?
Speaker 2:sorry, I feel justified. It's also like even though that this post isn't as like, ooh, it's also just an eye into what she's going through and how she's reaching out to anyone like I need help.
Speaker 2:I am resigned to the fact my relationship is over, but his parents don't seem to be taking this seriously and they're icing me out. I believe this is a serious mental health issue which may put people, namely me, at risk. Can I do anything about this when all I have is the fact I'm being accused of murder? I do anything about this when all I have is the fact I'm being accused of murder? I feel he needs to be detained and this should be investigated as a full-blown psychotic break. Sorry, this is a bit mental. In addition, what type of solicitor do I need?
Speaker 2:My understanding is that a coroner's decision can't be appealed. Is that correct? Are his accusations going to go anywhere? Can I protect myself from this or stop him escalating to telling others? We live in our hometown and everyone knows everyone. This could follow me forever and it's either a lie or a delusion. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. On a lighter side, like I'm not trying to poke fun, but all the questions. Like it can't be appealed, right? Are the accusations going to go anywhere? Like did?
Speaker 1:you murder him. I know Like it. Just I don't know. Maybe I've just listened to many two crime things and whatnot, but it's like I feel like this is borderline, inserting herself in the investigation Like it's.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like it's like putting this out there, it's like, girl, you're like looking a little guilty by being like, well, like, what could I do to make this go away?
Speaker 1:yeah, I mean okay, but so let's look at it on a she didn't do it side, like there's something going on with him, but oh, why? Like, all I could think is like she opened up the cloud and couldn't find anything, but something like it feels like there has to be some kind of delusion. Either she did it or he has a delusion, like he knows something we don't. If she did it, you know what I mean. Yeah, well, there is a final update. Do we know? Do we find out if she did it and do we find out what's wrong with him? Don't tell me, just read it, it's fine.
Speaker 2:No spoilers all right update. Update to my 30 female husband 33 male accused me of murder out of the blue. How do I salvage this? I can't believe that was her original thing of like, that she wants to salvage a marriage with someone that thinks she murdered someone I could never. I'm sorry, I know I'm gonna get into the story, but I could never imagine if rams accused me of murder.
Speaker 1:I think I'd laugh in his face, I think I would, and then I'd probably murder him I guess I think it's one of those things where it's like, I mean, if they had kids? But like if you don't have kids. It's's just like are you kidding me? Right now I'm out. Yeah, bro, what.
Speaker 2:Could you imagine her saying, bro, or that's her reaction, bro. Firstly, thank you to all of those who have helped me get to my husband's iCloud backups through an old iPad. I wasn't expecting much from Reddit, but I got valuable practical advice before my post was locked and I appreciate it. Y'all breaking the law. There were no crazy or even suspicious messages. I searched for over a hundred terms and scrolled back over years. I saw a side of them both. I wasn't expecting but nothing that explains the claim I murdered Laura over their chats. Nothing to suggest he was cheating, absolutely nothing to suggest incest. That's, that was like.
Speaker 1:my first thought was I was like oh, I know, as soon as she's talking about the messages and she's like there's nothing there, I'm like, oh, maybe there's like a subtle thing there and it's a jealousy thing that is but yeah I repeat no in okay a lot of people sorry
Speaker 2:no, no weird gaps where deleted conversations or switch to another app would fit. Just siblings making plans, sending memes and gossiping. They said unexpectedly horrible stuff about a few people, but not me. It was a sort of a relief, but it raised more questions than it answered. I sought legal advice, also from Reddit. That was the one I just read after posting here.
Speaker 2:Turns out my options are divorce him or sit down. I contacted my community mental health team who said they'd reach out but made it clear it wasn't urgent. I then called his mom and said that if I didn't hear from him by this weekend, I would get a solicitor and ask for a mental health assessment as part of the divorce. In response, he made a ridiculous post to Facebook which neither of us have used in years, and everything blew up On Friday night. He made a long accusation on Facebook with new information. He said he'd been planning to leave me for months, with his sister's support, and I found the messages and murdered her. The coroner has reopened the case and the police are preparing to arrest me. This is his facebook post and he needs to make sure people know before the trial stops him talking about it.
Speaker 1:It was well written and seemed vaguely possible, plausible, he messaged people links sorry, did his facebook page say that he was going to leave her?
Speaker 2:yeah, he wrote the whole thing saying he had been planning to leave her for months with the sister support, that I found the message, that she found the messages and murdered her. That he's saying the coroner's reopening the case, they're gonna have a trial, all that crap, right. He messaged people links, so it got some attention. We live in our hometown and have a large circle of friends because we've been here all our lives. People I haven't spoken to since school were reaching out to me asking what the fuck was going on. It was madness. In response, I posted the export of his entire conversation history with Laura also to Facebook and I, when I finally got back in, I linked to the chat along with a post explaining my side and noting that I had, that I had oh my God that I had changed my ex's cloud and Apple passwords and that if he wanted them back he should comment on my post and update his own, admitting that he was a lot that he was lying. He eventually did.
Speaker 2:When I started getting messages about his post, I panicked and changed his passwords, and changing his passwords seemed important to preserve everything because he'd known I had access to it when I spoke to him, when I spoke to him the next. It's clear he's not having a mental episode at all, but is claiming one because he's been caught in a big lie. As soon as he was outed he called me, clearly drunk, begging and promising to explain everything if I deleted my post. I hung up and told him to call back the next day. He did, after many missed calls and texts, and he tried to bargain and guilt trip me with his mental health until it was clear the wrong people had seen his conversation. It's hard to describe, but it felt. It's hard to describe, but it seemed fake. It was too well rehearsed. And then this morning, when it was clear he was getting nowhere, he blocked me. Begging for mercy and reciting facts about mental disorders doesn't align with someone in crisis with a sincere belief that someone murdered their sibling.
Speaker 2:The question of why he did all this remains unanswered and he will not be getting his passwords until it is the legal advice subreddit said his stuff is technically illegal but it's beneath a court to take action. So I'm going to count on that because I felt like I had no other choice at the time and now I don't see any other way of getting answers from him. I am desperate and it's all I've got. So there we are. The relationship I have believed was my destiny since I was a teenager has boiled down to petty, convoluted and vindictive bullshit played out on social media for reasons still unknown. My hope for a brain tumor is fading and clearly tomorrow morning is going to be when I lawyer up and stop posting about this. I am mortified. I have no idea whether some people might believe him and I still don't know why all of this happened In the first place. Sorry, I don't have a happier update, and thanks again to everyone who offered advice.
Speaker 1:There's got to be something more Like. There's got to Like I, first of all, the fact that, like we were just looking at it, this was all posted in july of 2024, and then crickets after this, like that makes me believe there's legal stuff that's happening right now and they can't post about it. You know what I mean. Like you can't, when there's usually court cases and everything that are in effect, you can't be posting it on social media because it can't be affected by things and whatnot.
Speaker 2:But like People were commenting a lot of stuff in the down below and she would reply saying that like he didn't react at all. He called me tens of times at that point and we had five conversations on the phone about it. He was laser focused on me deleting the chat log from the get go. But when I made it clear that posting the comment and editing his original Facebook post Was the only way to progress the conversation at all, he finally did it. Then he went silent, publicly as far as I can see, but continued begging me behind the scenes. I think he's cheating.
Speaker 1:I'm cheating, so you're a murderer. Yeah, like it just, but just cheating like it just feels like I feel like there's something more, I think he's hiding something here. Like more than that because, like, maybe it's a money issue maybe.
Speaker 1:Like I feel like if he's hiding, like, let's say, he is talking to his sister over the fact that he's having an affair and he wants to leave with his wife, ok, now that person dies, you're now just going to blame this person, that they killed them. Like this it doesn't make. Yeah, like it doesn't make sense. If anything, I feel like that would be a breaking point to be like I don't want to be with you anymore you know what I mean but to actually accuse her of doing it. I know this is like way out of left field and like total drama movie thing, but like what if he was involved with what happened to her and he's trying to put the blame on someone else so that people don't find him?
Speaker 2:yeah, I don't know why, but now when you said that I, I feel like there was an update at some point and it was a money thing with him and his sister. There is an update. I know there is because I feel like right, when you said that there's a money thing with him and his sister, I think he borrowed money and is so deep in the hole he was trying to cover his tracks for something with his sister and his sister knew about it and he was deep in the hole or something didn't want her to know about it.
Speaker 1:I think that I know that I this is all speculation, but I know I read the final to this and now it doesn't exist I just feel like, if you're feeling that, after I'm saying this, I feel like there's an investigation going on and the post had to be removed for legal reasons.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Someone even wrote like you need to hire a private investigator because something's going on.
Speaker 1:Yeah, 100%, and I don't think it's cheating. I think if it was cheating, that would be it. But for him to place blame on her of something this big, he's trying to hide something else. That isn't just a I'm cheating on you. I need you out of my life scenario. It's a I'm involved in something that you need to take the blame for.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I feel like I'm. Maybe I'm confusing stories, but like I'm sure I'm not, but I can't say that because we don't know what happened.
Speaker 1:So, in our opinion, you cheated he did it or something bigger is going on's something bigger? Keep eyes on this, though. If we get an update like, I want to know how it actually ended, but like oh, maybe it was this.
Speaker 2:Okay, hold on, hold on. So people were like, um, like, this doesn't make any sense. And so why frame her for an accidental death if he was planning on divorcing her? But why the accusation of murder? The story seriously makes no sense. Who else were they talking about in the messages that he was so worried about? Because this sounds like he is desperate to get his messages back.
Speaker 2:Someone said something kind of clicked when reading this and led me to this theory the husband stole the identity of his sister and racked up a bunch of debt, taking out personal loans or lines of credit for either expenses related to an affair or an addiction of some kind that he wanted kept out of the hands of OP OP's joint finances so as to not arouse suspicion. The problem is, creditors eventually come knocking rather than live with the guilt of running, ruining his sister's life financially and her dreams of moving out because of his stealing of her identity, he killed her and, when confronted about it, went face to face with her while OP was away. So it goes on and on and on, but like I really feel that wasn't what I read, but I feel like it is but so my thing is, she has an alibi.
Speaker 1:Right, she was at the store, she was clear, she went home, but where was he? Nowhere in any of this has they said where he was in order for him to think that she did it. They couldn't have been together, so where?
Speaker 2:was he? This sounds like a serious accusation that someone that's dealing with addictions of any kind are going through. I don't know.
Speaker 2:I feel like it was a money thing and it's really, I feel, like we're either never gonna know or we're gonna have an update next year yeah, we're well, we're gonna, I'm gonna keep digging and then I'm gonna send it to you and we're gonna update this party with my big fat mouth. Well, I'm sorry that that actually like, I was so excited to read this to you and now I'm like, oh, it was actually kind of like are you kidding me?
Speaker 1:you've just opened up a cliffhanger for us.
Speaker 2:Until we actually know I want to hear about what you all think that he did.
Speaker 1:I feel really bad for his sister, send us an email.
Speaker 2:What do you think because?
Speaker 1:and we'll read them out, because if it was an accident like a like that is so unfortunate, like literally just living your day and just it's over, yeah but then his, for your brother, to then turn around and use you for something like this because, like, at the end of the day, whether he is trying to get away with something or not, at the end of the day he is still using his sister as a way to get rid of his wife. You know what I mean. If it is something as small as that not that it's I, not that that's a small thing, but I'm just saying but also, what's up with the parents?
Speaker 2:like have we even, like we didn't even get into that topic, but what's up with the parents? Like hello, what?
Speaker 1:yeah. I just don't think they know what to do. You know what I mean. Like it's you, you want to support your kid. You're not gonna like, yeah, they've been together for forever and whatnot, but like you're gonna, at the end of the day, you're gonna support your kid yeah, anyway, that was this episode, first episode, I guess, of my big fat mouth, our big fat mouths we're both opinionated around here okay, well, next time I'm gonna try and find one next time that has a wrap-up yeah, now you've got us all on a cliffhanger of did she do it?
Speaker 1:did he do it? Did the parents do it? Did nobody do it. Was it actually an accident? I?
Speaker 2:think the parents are in on it. You think you think the parents. Do you actually think the parents are?
Speaker 1:in on it? You think you think the parents. Do you actually think the parents are in on it? No, okay, I was like I don't think the parents know what's going on. I think the parents are also mourning the death of their daughter and are sitting here like we really don't need this shit, john I have no idea what we were calling him, but but like it just felt right, I think his name was in here.
Speaker 2:It's John now.
Speaker 1:Luke, they don't even call him John. They call him John day to day, but then the shit started happening and they're like Jonathan, get your shit together.
Speaker 2:It's like me earlier, christine.
Speaker 1:Okay, oh man, well, this was interesting. Thanks next time. Yep, bye, yay.
